The safest max damage you'd be able to use correctly would be from the 10-14 (q4 I believe) Rinblade from the Ascalon City crafted. Until you can get 9 in Swordsmanship if you have a Glacial Blade which is max damage.

Also there was a brief bug a few years ago that allowed people to trade between post and presearing. So there could also be some normal max weapons floating around too.

Ahh..yes.. I remembered this. I believed it was more like the programmer's mistake for linking the GH button for pre characters, thus allow pre characters access to storage in their GH. Though it was pretty brief, many post only items made their way through. XP scrolls and the likes. I want a storm bow for my pre ranger!!! |

The maximum damage of a sword in Pre dropped from the Charr is 12-16, maximum possible damage would be +18% dmg when hexed with 18% charrslay mod added 18/20 sundering etc etc

Ok lets actually try and answer your question..
1) most people here do not care about presearing. there is a site that was mentioned. www.presearing.com. it is a highly ranked fan site and a wonderful resource for all things pre. 2) 12-16 dmg is MAX for a sword drop in presearing with damage 14% more and health ^50% or (14^50 as its called). People use Sundering 20/18 as max but sundering is really crap when you think about it. Go with ICY instead. - a 12-16 dmg Short sword is around 225,000g and a 12-16 dmg LONG sword is going to cost you 300,000g and up 3) the glacial Blade is 15-22 dmg and is available through the bonus weapons only if you purchased the Eye of the North - prerelease. some copies are still available on e-bay for around 10 bucks with s/h not included. 3) the Guild hall glitch is just that a glitch that existed. There are 15-22dmg vampiric dragon swords in presearing BUT!!! these are ILLegal to have and you risk having your account BANNED by even attempting to buy on in local chat. You will be harrassed if you even mention it let alone are serious of shelling out 1,000,000 gold for one of these. T**** - I am sure you can find 8 of them in the morning as he has atleast that many accounts - made his gold by exploiting this and then selling the weapons for increased prices. Also there were legit Vampiric mods dropped in pre. I sold one 6 months ago for 400K on just a crummy 11-15 dmg long sword. The vamp was -1 not -3 health degen those too are bannable. So please be careful at what you try and do in pre as some of the others are quick to report people. When I was selling the vamp mod I was questions by A-Net as to how I acquired it, when and from whom I got it from. After satisfying them with my answers - 30 minutes later - they allowed me to continue with the mod to sell it as it was from a second account that was dormant in pre for a little more than 2 years at that time. So the best way for a max sword is the prerelease and then just buy the 18% vrs charr and add it to the sword. that mod should only cost you 70-80,000 for it. Once it is on the sword.. you can not get it off its there forever.. If you have any questions and someone is trying to sell you a sword for more than 200K and you want someone to look at the sword for you and appraise it before you buy it.. contact me IG IM NOT YOUR MOTHER - LVL 19 WAR/Ranger - lvl 19 fire imp - Icy Glacial blade of Charrslaying is my weapon and I have a lvl 20 pet |

vampiric dragon swords in pre? lol dude....im sure that there was icy dragon sword transvered through that glitch, but that was looooong ago before vds was introduced....
also, its anets problem, not players hack that allowed that kind of transfer so they cant ban you for their mistake...i think that one owner of the ids asked them about that glitch, and than they had nothing againist keeping that sword |
